Basic information on oil spills and classification of their possible sources and modern means of response on land water surface are given. Examples of calculations of accidental oil losses are given. The equipment of pipeline transport facilities with oil spill response equipment (OSR) was reviewed and the disposal of oil-saturated waste was covered.
