Modern ideas about the theory and practice of using bacterial means of combating rodents and harmful insects are presented. Epizootic direction of application of bacterial agents and metatoxic effect of their action on pests are shown. The issues of pathogenicity and contagiousness of bacteria, susceptibility and immunity of pests, specificity and safety of bacteria for humans and useful animals, technology of using bacterial preparations are considered.
