The book explores the work of the Greek philosopher-peripatetic Alexander of Aphrodisias (con. II - beg. III century.) In the broad context of the ancient commentary tradition on the works of Aristotle. Being a well-known commentator, Alexander was also the author of several treatises, one of which - "On Mixing and Growth" - is the subject of this study. The various aspects of the school polemic between peripatetics and stoics presented in the treatise regarding the central teaching of the stoics about "whole mixing" are analyzed in detail. The Greek text of the treatise is published with parallel Russian translation, glossary and comments. For specialists and everyone interested in ancient philosophy.
