The book in an accessible form, but quite fully, sets out the foundations of the theory and structure of the main types of VRD used in military and civil aviation. Fundamentals of design and principles of operation of main units and systems of engines, their assemblies, performance characteristics of engines and reasonable actions of flight crew for engine control in case of failures in flight are considered.
