Collection "Law in the Medieval World. 2007" includes materials from the conference "Choice in favor of law," held at the Institute of General History of the Russian Academy of Sciences in 2005. The focus of the authors of the articles is the moment of decision - the individual, the authorities, the group - to resort to legal settlement or not.
