Ferdinand de Saussure (1857-1913) - an outstanding Swiss linguist, one of the founders and theorists of modern linguistics. in Russian, of his works, only the "Course of General Linguistics" was published 40 years ago, which has long become a bibliographic rarity. in the volume offered to the reader, for the first time in Russian, the most important linguistic works of F. de Saussure are published, including the famous "Memoir."
