Collective monograph is devoted to the construct "Ukraine." The construct is a kind of surrogate for history. The subject of the study of the team of authors was not the history of Ukraine, which is complex, tragic, heroic, confusing, but its long-playing surrogate, the construct "Ukraine" - extremely dangerous, destructive and powerful. The emergence of this construct, its main characteristics, its consistent transformation, its implementation at different historical stages, its prospects - this is what is in the scope of this study. The monograph presents all the key moments of the formation of the "Ukraine" construct, traces the general logic of its evolution, describes the modern forms of its manifestation and the most dangerous trends in its possible development.
