The book is the product of the work of many parts of the World Bank and reflects efforts to better understand the phenomenon of corruption. Its first part is devoted to corruption in such sectors of the economy as health, education, forestry, road management, electricity, oil and gas, water supply and sewerage. In the second part, public finance management is considered, in particular, the formation and execution of the budget, public procurement of goods and services, the activities of tax and customs departments. The third part deals with countering money laundering.
