To the 190th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Russian diplomat Count Nikolai Pavlovich Ignatiev (17.01.1832 - 03.07.1908). In his speech at a meeting of the Slavic Charitable Society of St. Petersburg, a participant in the Russian-Turkish war, General Pyotr Parensov, said significant words about Count Ignatiev: "The river of time in its desire takes away all the affairs of people. May this river not take away from the memory of future Russian offspring, from the hearts and memory of future generations of Slavs, the name and deeds of a strong prospector for Russian national interests, an incessant guardian and courageous fighter for the Slavs, Count Nikolai Pavlovich Ignatiev."
