Memoirs of the famous critic, publicist, editor of the religious and philosophical journal "New Way" P.P. Pertsov (1868-1947) expressively depicts the situation of the ideological transition from populism to decadence and religious searches in the late XIX - early XX centuries. Among its main characters are D.S. Merezhkovsky, Z.N. Gippius, Vl.S. Soloviev, V.Ya. Bryusov, A.A. Blok, V.V. Rozanov, artists of the World of Art association. Pertsova's book was published in a very small edition in 1933 and has never been reprinted since. As an appendix, this publication also includes other memoirs of Pertsov, some of them are published for the first time.
