The collection contains extracts from personal files of Germans evacuated from Leningrad in 1941-1942. Germans who were in a special settlement in the Kemerovo region in the 1940-1950s. This collection will help to reveal the tragic fate of people, show their life in a special settlement, the use of their labor and the problems of rehabilitation. In addition, the collection highlights the fate of people whom the USSR leadership ranked among the Germans. Their ethnicity has been a determining factor in administrative expulsions.
