This is the first monographic work in Dagestan historiography, in which two questions about the land are posed for research as a single problem. Based on the analysis of numerous diverse sources and literature, including archaeological work, the time of origin, stages of development, state, place, role and significance in the economic life of various natural and geographical zones of agriculture in late feudal Dagestan are shown.
