In an economic sense - in fact, an empty place, only a geographical point on the Trans-Siberian Railway - in an inconceivably short time, according to historical measurements, it turned into a city comparable to the old-founded Siberian cities. The initial production structures of Novonikolaevsk were similar to the structures of these cities: station, marina, mills, sawmills, brick shed, salotopenny, soap factory, distillery, bazaar area, slaughterhouse, handicraft enterprises, etc. But this similarity in the standard set of production structures was not symmetry with the old-founded cities. Asymmetry manifested itself in many ways. The amateur population of the new city was distinguished by unprecedented, in the conditions of sluggishly ongoing socio-economic processes in our country, energy, activity, initiative of applicants for entrepreneurs. Production structures were distinguished by more modern technologies and technical equipment.
