"The study reveals the political and scientific-expert mechanisms of the United States to use the religious factor for geopolitical purposes and considers how the United States exploits the religious agenda for direct political pressure on Russia. The United States sees in the Russian Orthodox Church the civilizational basis of the Russian state and is launching a systemic struggle against it, which includes theological, expert, media levels, as well as acts of direct - administrative and physical - pressure on the parishes of the Moscow Patriarchate. The global vector of this activity of the United States is aimed at dividing and weakening world Orthodoxy, and the local one is aimed at destroying the historical spiritual ties of Orthodoxy in Russia and Ukraine. The purpose of the study is to identify and detail the main international political threats to Orthodoxy from the United States in order to formulate an adequate response to them.
